This week has been a busy one in Acorn class, On Tuesday we had our lambing class trip to the Earth trust, where the children met lots of beautiful baby lambs, piglets and a calf. On Thursday we said a sad farewell to our ducklings, the time spent watching them grow was valuable to the children's learning.
Acorn class have also been enjoying the lovely weather we have had this week, so lots of learning has taken place in the outside environment.

It has been an exciting week in Nursery with the arrival of the ducklings. We have also been busy exploring colours, learning new sounds and enjoying a PE session in the hall.

This week Acorn class have continued to explore colour. All the children enjoyed painting with their feet and using a variety of resources to create new colours.
Children enjoyed tasting the rainbow by trying new foods that reflect the colours of the rainbow.

This week Acorn class have been developing their knowledge of colours through interacting, exploring and sharing with friends.
World book Day
To celebrate World Book Day Acorn class had a visit from our year 2 children who shared some fantastic stories.
We were delighted to invite staff from Didcot Library who provided the children with engaging stories and some fun activities.
25th February-1st March
This week we began our topic 'How many colours in a rainbow?' by exploring with paint. We have been mixing paint and creating new colours and drawing large rainbows outside. Children have been blowing bubbles in soapy water to try and find rainbows in the reflection.
