This week we had a special guest visit Acorn class, Children were super excited to see Father Christmas! What a great end to a fantastic term!
9th-13th December 2019
This week the children performed their Christmas production to the rest of the school, and their families. Acorn class have been practising extremely hard to learn all the new songs and I think you will agree that the children did a fantastic job and we are all very proud of them!
We have continued the theme of Christmas this week, children have been writing letters to Father Christmas and engaging in many Christmas themed activities.
2nd-5th December 2019
This week Acorn class have enjoyed using a range of activities that supports their learning based around our story 'Stanley's Stick' by John Hegley. The children have made dens, created shapes, drawn pictures in shaving foam and created music using various sticks.
25th-29th November 2019
This week in Acorn class we have been thinking about autumnal foods. Our focus story this week was 'The Gigantic Turnip' and children have engaged in a range of activities to support their learning.
Acorn class created their own versions of 'The Gigantic Turnip' and shared them with the class.

18th-22nd November 2019
This week children have been inspired by the story 'Owl Babies', we have been taking about being brave and what does 'being brave' mean. During our group times child were asked to be be brave by trying new foods and during our PE session, Acorn class were challenged to climb higher on the climbing frames.
11th-15 November 2019
This week Acorn Class have been learning all about animals that hibernate. The children have created habitats using junk modelling, building bricks and creating dens in the outside environment.
4th- 8th November 2019
Acorn class have begun the term looking at autumn and how the seasons change. The children have been busy collecting autumnal resources from the outside environment and using these to support their learning.
