Forest School - Term 4

Cherry Class - First session 13th March

Cherry class had a very enjoyable time at Forest School on Friday.  There were lots of signs of spring on the site this week.  The children also included  elements from the story 'Jack and the Beanstalk' into their explorations.  Many of our Forest School activities can also be followed up in the garden at home or when out on a walk.

Hazel Class 28th February 2020

Our first Forest School session was on a very wet afternoon, but everyone was so absorbed in their investigations that they didn't notice the rain.  The children found some signs that suggested that characters from Little Red Riding Hood might be in the woods, they used lots of key phrases from the story as they played.  Everyone enjoyed a hot chocolate in the outdoor classroom shelter and also practised sitting around the fire circle.  Have a look at the pictures below to find out more about the lines of enquiry that the children began to explore.
