Term 3 - Forest School

Forest School

Year 4 are having weekly Forest School sessions until half-term.  We are exploring the challenges that face the wildlife in the winter months and how plant life copes with cold weather.  Building on this the children will then experience building their own shelters, using new knotting skills and working as a team to share ideas.  In the final couple of weeks we will be having a focus on fire, fire safety and exploring links with the topic focus.

Everyone agreed that for warriors in the past it was not not easy to create and maintain their fires.
