It was wonderful to welcome the Year 4s to Forest Schoolfollowing lockdown. The site is full of signs that spring is here. The groups were very self motivated and were ken to explore the flora and fauna of the site. Using blossom and catkin identification cards the link was made between class names and some of the trees on site. A close look at a spider in a magnifying pot revealed a beautiful silky body with amazing legs with clearly visible joints.
Team work is always a key aspect at Forest School and children worked to support each other in a varity of ways. Those that chose to make picture frames using twigs and string worked together to solve problems. A confident minibeast handler helped other to gather their minibeasts into pots.
